Qian Chen

Chan Sin is a young pianist from Hong Kong and Macau, currently 26 years old, who currently teaches at the Macao Polytechnic Institute, and serves as the Director of Education at the SengIok MusicCenter and Star Music Center. Chan began her musical education under the tutelage of Ms. Wong Yee Lun, a senior keyboard lecturer and resident artist at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and later received the Macau Cultural Affairs Bureau Award and Government Scholarship to pursue her studies at the Academy, where she graduated with first-class honors. She then received a scholarship from the Royal Academy of Music to pursue a Master of Arts degree in piano performance, studying under Professor Colin Stone, and graduated with distinction.Chan has participated in numerous international music competitions and has received multiple awards,showcasing her outstanding musical talent and technique. Her performances are often praised and recognized as energetic, emotional, and highly expressive.

Born into a musical family, Chan won her first competition at the age of three. At age seven, she performed Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 with the Macau Orchestra and was invited to perform as a guest at the Macau International Arts Festival, where she collaborated on a piano duet with the renowned French pianist Richard Clayderman. She has also performed with musicians such as Lang Lang and the Steinway artist Mary Wu. At the age of 16, Chan held her debut solo concert, which was highly praised. She has performed publicly multiple times in countries including the United Kingdom,France, Vietnam, Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Macau. Additionally, she has been invited as a guest performer to various international performing arts festivals. She has also collaborated with several orchestras, including the Macau Orchestra, the Macau Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Hanoi Philharmonic, she has collaborated with conductors such as Francis Kan Pak Kin, StephenLam Lok Yin, and Tong Kwong Wing. In 2021, Chan was invited by the Macau Cultural Affairs Bureau as a special artist to collaborate with the Macau Orchestra on a performance of Saint-Saëns' "Carnival of the Animals".
