SPIRIO SPOTLIGHT
A Spanish set from Wei Luo, Ravel’s Birthday, Chopin in winter,
Top 50 Jazz & Bacharach is back.
This month we feature new tracks from the excellent young pianist from China, Wei Luo. She performs a short set of works by Spanish composers as well as Debussy, and is featured in a SpirioSync video of the Spanish Dance Op. 37 No. 2 by Granados recorded at Steinway Hall in New York.
It is the birthday month for the French master, Maurice Ravel. His piano works are Spirio favorites, including Le Tombeau de Couperin, the Sonatine, Valses nobles et sentimentales, and of course, the 4-Hand Mother Goose Suite. We round out the birthday tribute with a new playlist of some of his favorite works along with other notable French composers including Reynaldo Hahn and Gabriel Fauré.
