Lewis Fang
Lewis Fang, a 16 year old pianist, began his musical journey at age four under the guidance of Dan Wang and Tianying Zhao, before continuing his studies with SunSung Kong and Eugene Skovorodnikov in Vancouver in 2015.
Since 2020, he has been studying at thePre-College division of the Juilliard School under Matti Raekallio until 2021, andsubsequently under Hung Kuan Chen and Tema Blackstone.
Lewis has won top prizes in the Paderewski International Piano Competition, the Canadian Music Competition, the Franz Liszt Center Competition and the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition. He is also a 2024 winner with distinction of YoungArts - The National Foundation for the Advancement of Artists. He has been invited to perform with orchestras including the Orchestra Citta’ Di Grosseto, the Bazzini Consort Orchestra in Brescia, the Encore Sinfonietta Vancouver Orchestra and the Rimsky-Korsakov String Quartet of St. Petersburg.
Lewis has performed in Koerner Hall, the Chan Center, Congregation Rodeph Shalom, Paul Hall, Steinway Hall, the Rose Wagner Performing Arts Center, New World Center and
Carnegie Weill Recital Hall. Currently, Lewis resides in New Jersey, where he is a junior at
the Hun School of Princeton.
