Abdiel Vázquez

Conductor, pianist, and vocal coach, Abdiel Vázquez was recently named Artistic Director of the Philharmonic Orchestra La Súper in Monterrey, Mexico. He is Founder and Artistic Director of the Vincerò Academy; Founder and Director of the music school Little Chopins in New York City; and vocal coach at Manhattan School of Music. In Mexico, he is the President of the World Piano Teachers Association.

He has been seen as soloist, conductor, recitalist, and collaborator with some of the world’s most renowned opera singers at major cultural capitals and venues such as New York’s Carnegie Hall, Chicago, Paris, Madrid, London’s Guildhall, Tokyo, Shanghai, Buenos Aires’ Teatro Colón, Lima’s Gran Teatro Nacional, Bogotá, Caracas’ Simón Bolivar Symphony Orchestra, Mexico City’s Palacio de Bellas Artes, and Guanajuato’s Cervantino Festival. He recently became the Music Director of an Online Opera Festival in Morelia, which featured international stars such as sopranos Ailyn Perez and Kristine Opolais, and conductors such as Enrique Diemecke, Artistic Director of Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. 

He is frequently featured as soloist with orchestra throughout Mexico and in the U.S., Europe, and South America, playing the concertos of Beethoven, Liszt, Grieg, Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, Gershwin, Ravel, Ricardo Castro, Manuel Ponce (New York premiere), Samuel Barber (Mexican premiere), Leonard Bernstein, and Juan Pablo Contreras (World premiere performance and recording).

His most recent album with the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra and music by Contreras, “Mariachitlán,” was released by Universal Music in 2019 and received a Latin GRAMMY® nomination. His first solo album, “Love & Death”, was released by Piano Classics in 2015 and received rave reviews internationally.
